I read reviews before I download a book - even a free book, since my time is worth something. This book received stellar reviews and I just DO NOT AGREE. I will give credit where credit is due, however. The book is well written in that the grammar is correct and the sentences flow well. Those two things are major turn-offs for me, but this book is a pleasure to read.Having said that, the plot is just weak and truly too far out to believe. I find it hard to believe that the women where Payton works get $10,000-20,000 or more for a single sexual encounter. Even when Evie had her encounter, it was just the one time with Logan. For $10,000, I'd expect most guys would want to do it more than once, no?Her relationship with Blake is tired and unbelievable. She loved him, but that love sure evaporated pretty quickly. Whatever.Even the sex grew very old and tired. I found myself skipping pages through the latter sex scenes just to find out what would finally happen in the actual plot - weak though it was - and get to the end. If you truly have nothing on your TBR list on your kindle, this one won't hurt but there are many others I'd rather re-read than recommend this book.
There really isn't much of a story, it is pretty much just a sex scene a conversation than more sex! Boring! Finally, conflict at the end which is wrapped up very quickly. Unfortunately, the end leads into another book. Dumb! You might as well watch porn! Deleting immediately!
I disagree with most of the reviews, first off the plot is so far fetched, next the whole entire plot was being in bed every couple of pages, I found both main characters really week and I do not appreciate the ending when the author should say, I want more money so go buy another book, that alone makes me disregard reading any more of her books.
This is one HOT book!!Evie and Logan work together. They have a mutual attraction but never have acted on it. She makes a critical mistake on a printing and has to pay back money. Her friend tells her how she can make the money she needs in one night. She does it and has the time of her life. Little does she know that it’s her boss. They teeter on acting on their relationship for a while and then it comes out he was the one she was with. She finds some disturbing news about him and asks him about it. They work through their relationship and all ends well.This books has a great storyline. There’s romance and lots of sex. This book has alphas and it makes the story especially hot. Logan and evie make the first book so interesting that you will want to keep reading this series (which you most definitely should).Seriously! Go buy this hot book today! You won’t regret it and then just go ahead and one click the whole series!!
There is no storyline. It’s all about sex and more sex. Twosomes and threesomes with the main characters. There is some talking in between but mostly flesh on flesh.There appears to be a cliffhanger when the H tells the h he did something he shouldn’t after her friend shows up at their place. She’s part of their threesome romp and was fired from the sex club that she works at after something the H did.Not a recommend. It’s porn disguised as a story.
There was very little story line. It seemed most of the story was to set up graphic sex scenes. I don't mind explicit scenes, but would like more of a story to go with it. On top of that one of my pet peeves is a cliff hanger. Yes, after HEA (happily ever after - I had to look that up after reading it in another review) we get a cliff hanger to entice us to buy another book.
4.5-5 stars. Loved this book! So incredibly hot! Evie needs to come up with some fast cash to get herself out of a bind at work so she decides to offer herself for one night at a high end sex club, where her best friend Payton works. The chemistry between Evie and her buyer for the night is off the charts. I devoured the story that followed afterwards as they slowly eased into a beneficial relationship that eventually welcomes emotions and commitment. It's not as easy as it seems though because there's one major no-no about them being together. He's got hang-ups on his end and she's can't stay casual. Still, even with the 3 simple rules in place, they have a very natural and easy vibe between them that is impossible to resist along with how attracted they are to one another. I loved seeing him fall for Evie little by little and I loved how Evie gave in to her desires and opened herself up sexually. There was nothing overdone or anything to skim over, their dynamic was incredible and sizzled off the pages yet the characters were portrayed and developed well outside of the sexual activity. I wouldn't have minded more details into his past that shaped his view on relationships, but overall, this was a fantastic read.
May contain spoilers!!!!!!!I had to leave a review for this one because because the top handful of reviews I read were not positive so I decided to share my thoughtsYes ----there is a lot of sex in this book but I don't consider this to be porn as so many other reviewers described it to be...I enjoyed the scenes and greatly dislike a book that claims to be a sexy read and has a total of 2 or 3 mild scenes within it. There was still a lovely story woven into this book, no it wasn't a deep heart stopping story but it's clear the author was not aiming for heart stopping....It's a sweet, (very) sexy romance.Another complaint was the cliff hanger....yes it ends in an incomplete manner-- but-- it doesn't end in the middle of a break up or heart wrenching near death experience it ends in a manner that opens up the next book which is Peytons story.This book is definitely worth a read.. Nikki Sloane is a wonderful author and I have no doubt I will enjoy the next book in the series, which is what I'm off to do now!!!😊
